REFUND AND CREDIT POLICIES

As a condition of registration, the Participant and Parent/Guardian agrees to the following:

  1. Registered customers must notify Fundamentals Summer Camps by email 30+ days prior to the associated camp start date to receive a refund for paid registration less $50 for processing and administration fees.
  2. Customers who cancel by email notice less than 30 days prior to camp start date are eligible to receive full credit for a future Fundamentals Summer Camps offering. Refunds are not available less than 30 days prior to the respective camp start date.

Fundamentals Hockey Payment

Fundamentals Hockey accepts payment via all major credit cards, e-transfer, or cheque. If paying by e-transfer please send payment to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

SCREENING AND HEALTH POLICIES

Everyone’s cooperation and compliance is required to offer safe, formative and fun summer camp offerings, thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Prior to camp arrival, the below outlined process is required for all campers, camp families and Fundamentals Staff:

  1. Health Screening – On the first day of each camp week, registered camp families are asked to consider the typcial health check questions for Covid-19, agreeing they have not been in direct contact with someone COVID-19 positive, and other health related questions. Please do a verbal health screening with your child before attending camp each day.
  2. Participant Dropoff – Unless an emergency or other, we ask that parents drop camp participants with instructors at the rink entrance and refrain from entering the locker rooms.
  3. Parents are not permitted inside locker rooms as space is already limited for camp attendees.

 

What is our camper sick policy for Communicable Diseases (including COVID-19)?

  1. Parents must keep camp participants home when not feeling well and until it is determined that no contagious illness is present. Everyone must report as honestly as possible, if symptoms are present please indicate such via notifying Paul Manning or other Fundamentals staff.
  2. If the camper or someone in the camper’s household has COVID like symptoms, the camper must not come to camp until it is determined that no contagious illness is present. Symptoms include loss of taste or smell, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

 

What do we expect of parents and families if a COVID-19 case is detected?

  1. Parents are asked to contact Fundamentals Camps Director, Paul Manning, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. when communicable diseases are present in the child or in the immediate household.
  2. Designated camp admin shall report certain communicable diseases, like COVID-19, to the local health authorities.

 

What will happen if my child gets sick while at camp?

  1. If your child falls ill with any COVID-19 symptom during the camp day they will be isolated from others and sent home as a precaution to camp instructors and fellow campers.
  2. The camp participant can return to camp after 24 hrs of being symptom free. Should a refund or credit be necessary, it will be provided per our refund and credit policies.

 

What happens if a parent / family member is sick?

  1. If a parent or other member of a camper’s household is sick, then that camper shall stay home until all family members are symptom free for 24 hours. Refund or credit policies will apply as needed for time away from camp due to illness – see below.

 

COVID-19 Cancellation or Refund Policy:

Symptoms Related – If your child or anyone in their household exhibits COVID-19 like symptoms they are required to stay home / not attend camp. To ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing, and to ensure camps continue to run in full, we ask that these instances and ailments are reported in an honest and timely manner (morning before camp begins). If symptoms don’t clear in 24hrs during the assigned camp week we will issue a prorated refund (in full if no camp days attended) without any fees deducted to encourage best reporting practices.

Exposure Related – If camps are cancelled due to a COVID-19 camp direct exposure, potential exposure and/or for contact tracing reasons, impacted customers will receive a prorated refund or camp credit. For example, if a five day camp like the Summer Full Day Camp is cancelled due to a direct COVID exposure on Wednesday, customers will be refunded or credited for Thursday and Friday.

Government / Health Dept Related – If camps are cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic federal, provincial and local health measures, 100% refunds will be issued. Alternately customers can opt to receive full credit for a future Fundamentals Summer Camps offering.

 

What is the policy when physical distance, mask wearing or other COVID-19 safety guidance is breached at camp?

We will do our best to ensure COVID related guidelines and protocols are being followed. If, for some reason, after working with the participant and family we cannot, the participant may be removed from camp that day or week of camp.
