Paul Manning

After retiring from the game as a player spanning 11 professional seasons from the National Hockey League to playing in Europe I am excited to share my passion and knowledge with young hockey players of all ages and abilities.  Having had the good fortune to be coached by some of the best coaches in the world, working with kids to develop their hockey skills is a great opportunity for me to pass on what I have learned to the next generation of players.

Matt Davidson

Matt is a grade 6 teacher and the head instructor of St. Benedict Elementary Hockey Academy.  He enjoyed a successful professional career in the NHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets before moving on to Europe to play in the elite leagues in Sweden, Finland, Germany, and Denmark.  "MD" is an excellent teacher of the game and enjoys passing on his knowledge and experiences to youngsters as a minor hockey and spring coach.  He is also an adept talent evaluator serving as a regional scout for the Portland Winter Hawks of the WHL. Matt's passion for education and development is a real strength for the program and we are thrilled to have him helping the kids!

Mykenzie Mykietyshyn

"Big Myk" has spent the past nine seasons as an instructor at Mount Carmel Hockey Academy teaching students from the ages of 8 to 15 years old the finer points of the game. Mckenzie also spent time as an assistant coach with the MacEwan Griffins and enjoys teaching puck handling and shooting to the next generation of young snipers.

Kyle L'Ariviere

As a former college hockey player at Mount Royal and Marian University, Kyle has taken his love for education and fitness and developed himself into a national Crossfit Games Competitor while also helping train others as a Certified Crossfit coach for the last 6 years. As a coach and mentor Kyle has married his passion for fitness with hockey.  For the last 4 years he has enjoyed helping young players reach their goals by incorporating his knowledge of Crossfit methodology with hockey training to develop age specific training programs designed to build complete athletes. Kyle's strengths as a coach both on and off the ice are an asset to the program and he has a passion for helping kids reach their potential.

Caleb Belter

After finishing his career in the WHL with the Prince George Cougars "Belts" went on to persue his teaching degree from the University of Alberta. He currently teaches Physical Education, Sport Performance and Health at St. Elizabeth Seton.  Along his journey he has spent time helping young athletes as a coach with SSAC, Mount Carmel and St. Edmund's hockey academy's.

Ryan Anderson

"Andy" enjoyed a nice career being a member of the SSAC Bantam AAA Western Canadian Champions and also playing for the silver medal winning Team Alberta at the Canada Winter Games before going on to play with the Sherwood Park Crusaders in the AJHL.  Andy loves to work with kids and has kept busy working as an instructor at Mount Carmel Hockey Academy for the last 3 years as well as training to become a firefighter and studying to become a personal trainer.  His favorite part of coaching is teaching the finer points of shooting to the young goal scorers.

Ian Gordon

As a player Ian excelled at every level.  From his playing days in the WHL to his 18 seasons as a professional in the AHL, IHL, and Europe, "Gordo's" knowledge of the goalie position is unparalleled. He currently serves as goalie coach for the Seattle Thunderbirds and Spruce Grove Saints and coaches young goalies across Western Canada.
