Pee Wee Winter Powerskating, Skills, and Dryland Training

I am excited to offer a 20 session program of power skating, skills, and dryland development starting this September.  Each ice time will begin with a focus on stride and skating development focused on technique and power generation as well as edge work, balance, speed and endurance.  For the second half of the ice times the players will be split into smaller groups where the focus shifts to circuit work and skill development.  In the circuits, we will focus more upon the finer details of the game including the core puck skills including passing, shooting, puck handling, and hockey I.Q. development.

We will also be adding a dryland component this year to the Pee Wee skills skates. Our resident strength and fitness trainer Kyle L'Ariviere will work the kids out each day 15 minutes after the conclusion of the ice time.  The 45 minute workout will incorporate balance, strength, flexibility, coordination and endurance components and will conclude at 5:15pm-5:30pm.

In terms of workout space, we will use the field space next to Terwillegar for as long as we can but as soon as the weather forces us inside, we will rent a multi purpose room, one of the Terwillegar gyms, or just use the space upstairs between the rinks.
The cost of the program is $598.50.  I am excited to have the ice and to be able to incorporate the off ice components and I think it will be a good opportunity for the kids to put in some work on and off the ice on a short school day and still be at home in time for supper.  Hopefully, the timing works for many of you and if you have any questions or would like to sign up please email me.
